Project Update – A180 South Humber Bank Major Maintenance Scheme

The second phase of works on Woad Lane between Laforey Road and Moody Lane are now
complete and the road has been reopened to vehicles. The third phase of works have started which will see the widening of the footway to incorporate a shared use footway/cycleway. In addition to this the disused rail tracks and crossing signals on Moody Lane will be removed. To ensure the safety of road users and workers during the removal of the rail tracks we have taken the decision to close sections of the road as shown:

The closures will take place on the following dates:

 Monday 12 August – Friday 16 August Removal of rail track on Moody Lane outside Novartis. During this time there will be a temporary road closure between the junction with Woad Lane and Gilbey Road roundabout. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained.

 Monday 16 September – Friday 20 September – Removal of rail track on Moody Lane outside Huntsman Tioxide. During this time there will be a temporary road closure between the junction with Woad Lane and Gilbey Road roundabout. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained.

Access to businesses in the area will be available throughout each closure.

Advanced warning signs will be erected on site nearer the time to provide notification to drivers and local diversion routes will be in place.
